Caring Community

Community (Sangha) is a place where we seek to find peace, serenity, and the support of our meditation community. We are honored to be able to offer our assistance to those in need. The intention of this project is to help to lessen the suffering of our fellow travelers through the practice of generosity.

Services which we offer to fellow members include:

  • food assistance
  • rides to and from doctors offices or the grocery store
  • grocery shopping
  • cooking meals for those who are unable to cook for themselves
  • friendly visits
  • donations of clothing
  • other requests as needed

Requests can be made in several different ways and will all be held confidential to the best of our ability. (Please be aware that your information will only be passed along to our small Caring Community group).

To place a request, you can:

  • speak to one of the representative members at one of our regular meditation times at Dwight Chapel (Monday and Thursday evenings).
  • fill out a brief request form located next to our donations box (at the back of Dwight Chapel) and put your request into the donations box.

If you find yourself in need, please don’t hesitate to ask. We will do what we can to help.
